Mike Brooks - Director
Mike is an musician/actor/writer/director. He was born and raised in
Dinas Powys near Cardiff in South Wales. He has been performing
proffesionally since 1987 and has worked as an actor/musician for many
Theatre companies including Bristol Express, MAST, Whizz Productions,
Moving Being and Theatre In Education companies Molecule Theatre, Moving Theatre, Tom Tiddlers Touring Theatre and Red Hippo.

Mike joined Barking Dog in 1995 first as an actor and booker then as a writer and director. He worked closely with the company's founder,
Patrick Jacobs to establish the principles and style of the company.
Before 2006 he had written seven shows for Barking Dog, two
pantomimes for Applause Productions and had written songs for
six companies.

Mike also plays in a band called
Here Be Dragons and has toured
many countries with them. The band has just finished their third CD
Bright New Tomorrow.

When not touring, Mike splits his time between London and Cardiff.
Siaran Brooks - Administrator
As well as being the admin person for Barking Dog,
Siaran is a proffesional
Storyteller. She specialises in
telling stories for children under six years old.

Siaran has performed in Arts Centres, Theatres and schools all over England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.


She was born and raised in Barry, South Wales and now lives in Muswell Hill, North London.
Patrick Jacobs - Founder/Advisor/Writer
Patrick founded the Barking Dog Theatre company in 1987 in
Barking, Essex.

At first he wrote, directed, acted and booked the shows
for the company. When Barking Dog grew he worked with Mike and
other people to increase the scope of the company.

Throughout, Pat has also performed as children's entertainer
Potty Patrick and since 2000 as a clown doctor.
